ABOUT

20180418-L_016220.jpg

My work focuses on the understanding of self, attempting to categorize, analyze, and depict each of my parts (intellectually, emotionally, and physically). I often think of myself as an amalgamation of disparate interests and struggle to find the space that represents me most accurately, despite the fact that in each of the areas of my life I perform the same behaviors and display the same need to understand through the examination of process and parts.  I am driven to know how things work, and I struggle with my inability to dissect my mind to comprehend its inner workings. My art exists as a product of this struggle, attempting to understand aspects of myself by breaking them apart and working them over and over again.
